The Ministry of Missions
Anna's Food Pantry
Anna McFadden was a dedicated member of the First Reformed Church. She loved announcing to the congregation the discounted food items at
Shop-Rite each week. Anna passed on December 7, 2011, but her legacy for the love and care she shared with the food bank will continue forever.
Food items may be dropped off at the church throughout the week.
Food donations are collected on a regular basis
and distributed to the community through the Montgomery Township Food Bank
Prayers for the Community
The church has been prayerfully aware of the needs of the community. It reaches out to those who seek help in getting through tough times in this confusing world of today. Prayers of the Community are shared and lifted up during our Sunday Worship Service. If you have a joy or concern that you would like the Worship Ministry to bring up in prayer, please go to the Pastoral Care section of the Ministries tab, and complete an online prayer request. We also have a Prayer Board in the church if you would like to drop off a prayer request there.
The church continues to support the Somerset County CROP WALK, and looks forward to this annual event in October. CROP is an organization that helps to feed the hungry nationally and world-wide.
A small meal is provided to those who attend the Wednesday night AA meeting. Dinner is provided from 6:15-7:15 pm every week. All meals are homemade by members of the congregation and served in a frinedly, loving, and caring way. It has been received by the AA members in a grateful way. They look forward to Wednesdays at the Rocky Hill Church.
12-Step Recovery Groups
The church has been available to various 12-step groups for many years, namely AA, NA, and
Al-Anon. It continues to show support for the recovery of individuals who suffer from the disease of addiction. Please see the community services page for the recovery group schedule.
